The decantation has a long history at Casa Pepe, since when Emidio decided he wanted to age his wines without ever filtering them. Today, after a long and deep consideration, we have stretched the waiting window before to start decanting, from ten to twenty years.

The wine spends more time in our aging cellar and comes from our oldest parcels, from vines of 50+ years old. We only release a limited amount of bottles from this selection every year.

The purest expression of the Abruzzo terroir only gets revealed by the varietals that originally covered our lands: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Trebbiano d’Abruzzo and Pecorino. The dedication to preserve and nurture their identity in every specific season is our main commitment.
